Founder’s Story
I grew up in a single-parent, grassroots family in Hong Kong. My childhood taught me that life is never easy, but it also taught me resilience, gratitude, and empathy. Because I came from a humble background, I understand deeply that when an ordinary family faces a medical problem, they often carry more than illness itself—they also face financial pressure, lack of information, distance, and systemic barriers.
I entered the medical profession and graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) in 2002. In 2007, I became a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR). In 2010, I became a Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Radiologists (FHKCR) and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (FHKAM). In 2016, I obtained my Doctor of Medicine (MD) from The University of Hong Kong. To me, this degree is not merely an academic milestone; it is a reminder that medicine must be pursued with truth, continual renewal, evidence, and professional excellence in response to patients’ needs.
I have served as Clinical Assistant Professor in Diagnostic Radiology at the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong; Honorary Associate Consultant in Diagnostic Radiology at Queen Mary Hospital; and Consultant Radiologist at Hong Kong Baptist Hospital. Since 2019, I have been in private practice. Over the years, I have met many patients and families, and I have become increasingly convinced that quality healthcare should not be a privilege for the few, nor should it be limited by geography or systems. Hong Kong has a professional, reliable, and internationally aligned healthcare system. The Greater Bay Area has immense needs and opportunities. If we can connect the two well, we can provide more Hong Kong residents and Greater Bay Area residents with reasonable, affordable, and quality-assured medical services.
This is why I founded Logos Medical and Diagnostics. Our vision is to be a bridge—connecting Hong Kong’s medical expertise with the people of the Greater Bay Area, including Hong Kong residents who live, work, or retire in the mainland. We uphold professionalism, integrity, transparency, and patient-centred care. We hope that every service is not merely a transaction, but a relationship of trust. We believe the value of healthcare lies not only in technology, but in whether we truly see people’s needs and whether we are willing to offer respect, companionship, and help when patients are most vulnerable.
I am also a Christian. For me, founding Logos Medical and Diagnostics is not merely a business; it is a mission. The name Logos comes from the Greek word for “Word” or “the Word,” as in John 1:1: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” This name reminds me that medical diagnosis is a work of seeking truth and identifying the cause of illness, and it is also a work of serving people with love. Through the professional services and team culture of Logos Medical and Diagnostics, I hope to bring the love of Christ to people—not through hard selling, but through sincerity, reliability, and humble service. As the Bible says, “I was sick and you looked after me.” (Matthew 25:36) This reminds me that serving patients is serving Christ.
Looking ahead, we will continue to develop cross-border medical services, promote Hong Kong-style medical standards, support grassroots families, and organise health education activities. I may not be able to change the entire healthcare system, but I hope that starting with Logos Medical and Diagnostics, we can move step by step so that more families receive timely, reasonable, and dignified medical care when they need it most. This is my original intention in founding Logos Medical and Diagnostics, and it is the reason I continue to move forward every day.
